My brother lives in The Hague, Neatherlands and told me about a year ago about the bicycle problem in that country. It seems that bicycle riders rule the roads to the point that all of the highways have as much room to ride a bike as there is to drive a car. So, I guess Google got involved and solved some of their safety problems. Observe the video and have fun.
Cool but a little scary. I wouldn't mind a car like that, then I really wouldn't have to pay attention and could be on the forum. Would make the trip to my daughter's house much more enjoyable. Also, why does your brother live in the Netherlands, if you don't mind me asking?
Ah yes @Ken Anderson, the giveaway could be at the end. The possibility that most would find it arguably real might be intriguing. Now, to answer Chrissy, my brother has lived in Europe for approximately 23 years. His reasoning? He likes it and makes a heck of a lot of money in communications. He is retiring shortly and moving to north Florida where he bought some land several years ago.
With my reputation for pranks I hid for the day. I'm getting too old for them, and I can't run anymore, so hiding is best. Oh, woe is me! No more pranks coming from this old woman.
Years ago, when I was a meta editor with the ODP (now DMOZ), there were tens of thousands of editors all over the world. When we logged in one April 1st, there was a large button on the screen, with a note that warned against pressing the big red button. Of course, nearly everyone pressed the big red button and we were unable to log back in until April 2nd. Instead, we'd get a notice saying that our accounts had been banned.
Am I the only one that fell for it? All I kept thinking was how cool if I could drive to my daughter's and be on the forum at the same time.
Uh........My brother did after I sent him the link. The Neatherlands are kind of a half and half country when it comes to our version of April Fools. Some know the gag version and some don't so it's going to be interesting to see how it's going to play out especially since they are extremely proud of their techies.
