Different meds just were not effective in controling my Atrial Fib so Saturday morning I will undergo a one hour non invasive procedure to install a New Very small State of the Art Pacemaker. have been in hospital since aTuesday after several bouts of A Fib and looking forward to getting outta here.

Sending good wishes your way, Lon! My primary care dr happens to be a Cardiologist...wouldn't it be a hoot if we had the same doc? :)

Well, hopefully this will take care of everything for you, @Lon Tanner . Possibly that is the next step for me as well if the new ablation does not fix things. I am concerned because I have been having episodes of a-fib again, even with taking the amioderone, and sometimes just the (tachycardia?) rapid heart beat.
My BP monitor shows when I am in a-fib and when I am not, and when I am just having the rapid heartbeat.
I called my doctor, and they seemed to think it was normal for it to go in and out of rhythm after the procedure.
What puzzles me is that the amioderone was keeping my heart in rhythm before the procedure, and now that it is supposed to be fixed, it is not staying in normal rhythm.
Bobby told me that my doctor told him and Robin that he had a pacemaker with him when they did my heart procedure, just in case he needed it. So, when they do yours, it will probably be a similar procedure where they just go up through the vein from your groin to your heart, and implant the pacemaker.
They only kept me overnight and sent me home early the next morning, so hopefully, things will go smoothly for your procedure as well, and you will be back home and feeling better soon. Did they say how long you will be in the hospital ?
I know that you must be very anxious to get back home again ! Being in the hospital is the worst ever place, and they wake you up so often that you can never even get a good night's sleep.
Bobby and I will be saying prayers for you for a successful procedure and a fast recovery, Lon.

Still waiting to hear from you Lon. I hope all is well.

My wife is doing okay with her pacemaker but can't tell much difference in the way she feels.

Thanks for being willing to text him Chrissy. I know I'm concerned about how he is doing, as I'm sure most of us are.
