Sending good wishes your way, Lon! My primary care dr happens to be a Cardiologist...wouldn't it be a hoot if we had the same doc? :)

Well, hopefully this will take care of everything for you, @Lon Tanner . Possibly that is the next step for me as well if the new ablation does not fix things. I am concerned because I have been having episodes of a-fib again, even with taking the amioderone, and sometimes just the (tachycardia?) rapid heart beat.
My BP monitor shows when I am in a-fib and when I am not, and when I am just having the rapid heartbeat.
I called my doctor, and they seemed to think it was normal for it to go in and out of rhythm after the procedure.
What puzzles me is that the amioderone was keeping my heart in rhythm before the procedure, and now that it is supposed to be fixed, it is not staying in normal rhythm.
Bobby told me that my doctor told him and Robin that he had a pacemaker with him when they did my heart procedure, just in case he needed it. So, when they do yours, it will probably be a similar procedure where they just go up through the vein from your groin to your heart, and implant the pacemaker.
They only kept me overnight and sent me home early the next morning, so hopefully, things will go smoothly for your procedure as well, and you will be back home and feeling better soon. Did they say how long you will be in the hospital ?
I know that you must be very anxious to get back home again ! Being in the hospital is the worst ever place, and they wake you up so often that you can never even get a good night's sleep.
Bobby and I will be saying prayers for you for a successful procedure and a fast recovery, Lon.

Still waiting to hear from you Lon. I hope all is well.

My wife is doing okay with her pacemaker but can't tell much difference in the way she feels.

I am still in Saint Agnes as my cardiologist is playing back-and-forth with the different meds tried it yet the right adjustment but I should be released late this afternoon

Also, he had the pacemaker installed in left shoulder.

Thanks for the update Chrissy. I hope you told him we all are hoping the best for him. :) Do they usually install the pace makers in the shoulder?

This is good news, and thank you for texting Lon to see how he is doing. I know we all really like Lon, and everyone has been really concerned how he was doing after the procedure. Hopefully, they can get the meds regulated right and Lon can come home again. I am sure that he is anxious to get out of the hospital !

Yes, I said everyone was concerned about him.

@Babs Hunt ...I don't know where they install pacemakers usually. I'm sure once he gets back on the forum he'll tell us more.

Thanks so much Chrissy. I don't have much in common with Lon but was worried when no one had heard from him. Wishing him home this evening and feeling well.

I'm glad he is improving. I hope he will let us know as soon as he gets home and feels up to getting online.
I've only known one person who had a pacemaker and it was in her left shoulder just above her breast. It was barely visible.
