I don’t like the brutal ways our indigenous people were treated like slaves / brutally killed had children taken to be used as sex and child slaves ....but it still go’s on behind closed doors still today. with all nations / colours right here in Australia and I expect everywhere around the world . My DIL who lives in Broken Hill ( eldest sons wife ) came from one of the poorest parts of the Phillipines She lived in a tin shack our councils wouldn’t allow us to keep chooks in
Kate, was that fire recent? The accents are certainly different from here. Craig and Kate, I think most of the damage from settlement was from Europeans bringing diseases that the natives had never been exposed to. I know that measles wiped out a lot of Native Americans.
It’s far cooler here today after our cool change @Craig Wilson did you see the Adelaide hills fires started by a 60 year old ( i posted YouTube this morning ) on here It’s about 25 c here today compared to 43 the day before
Yes only the last few days @Shirley Martin they are still burning That’s our state premier on the left ..nah we speak Aussie Shirley
Deliberate or accidental @Kate Ellery. If deliberate this 60 year old gallah shud be made to join the firies to doust the blaze he lit..
I’ve walked around those botanic gardens in Sydney that’s where I seen my first woolemi pine ...just a baby one
He’s been charged as he was seen leaving ( by the police who chased him ) after he lit the fires @Craig Wilson https://www.9news.com.au/national/a...-driving/d647e2a0-dab7-4a26-877e-39749e5ce08d
Very true Shirley. Yes indigenous natives had no resistance to western diseases. But that is in addition to the attempted deliberate eradication of entire races on both continents.
Thats good they caught him.. We often have fires in the U.S. too,,usually West of us..near the Pacific Ocean.. lots of nuts there!!,, California and Washington..
We are careful the barbie is under the back verandah .,they cook meat on barbie but we eat inside ..lotsa bugs around at moment cause we had almost a inch of MOST WELCOME rain yesterday ...our tanks were getting dry Yep,we have town water but I prefer to water my fruit trees with rainwater that way they are completely chemical free
