does not look good for the Carolina's not sure how far she is from the coast.. forgot to ask her, dern it!!
yes. hoping for the best..she does have a basement if necessary for her to be safe.. time for me to go now. get my shower and jammies on. see yall tomorrow..
Basements are good, but if the water starts to flood and the basement starts to fill up with water, …. That's not good...
Allot of the very old stone homes in S.A. were built with basements to keep food cool in summer before air conditioners most of those type of homes in Adelaide are in the $2.million + + price range
not me ,,thats for sure,, We are retired and live on the edge every day. hope and praying no disaster ever happens..!! remember the old song? i wish i was single again.♫ my pockets would jingle again.♪ i wish i was single , my pockets would jingle♪ I wish i was single again !!!♫
The storm seems to have passed on either side of us. I'm not sure how that happened but I'm glad it did. I couldn't afford a 2 million $ house but I wish I had enough money to buy one.
Here is a stone home I was taking about 1.4 million , lots of them don’t have prices advertised This is about 6 km out of city in Eastern suburbs https://www.domain.com.au/17-watson-street-fullarton-sa-5063-2016397619
I wonder if the people that buy those multi million dollar houses are happy... Does all that money invested in a house make you a happy person.. Most likely not... Money cannot buy you happiness and a peaceful, stress-less, loving, mellow, happy life which in my opinion is more important than having a multi million dollar house...
Same here Steve ,even if I had the money I wouldn’t bother paying that sort of money for a house I like my home it’s quiet/ peaceful / away from city pollution / most crimes and while we can still drive to the city for medical appointments ect I’d rather stay here .If we ever get to the stage where we can’t drive these is always the community car or bus that will transport us to Adelaide where our preferred GP ‘s of some 32+ years are . I’ve always liked the idea of living near water ( and I can’t swim ) I love the cool afternoon sea breeze we often get when it’s hot in summer ..that’s my preference to living in a multi million $ home that I’d think many would who buy those homes would never own in their lifetime
