WOW !!! Looks like you (Holly) had a lovely time... I'm glad you are tired as it is a joyful tiredness.. Shirley.... I was wondering how I can keep this and perhaps post it somewhere else like Facebook... Thanks a million for the huge smile.... I did it.. I right clicked on the picture, saved, and put it in my pictures folder..
We had a great time Steve, I've put a few pics on the Good Morning thread.. so you can see some of it.. WE took a ride on a boat Across the Thames as well.. and visited the 02 millennium Dome ...
Nice pictures, but where is the snow ???? We up here are having a week of reprieve and NO snow for a while, so they say... Sunny all week but just a bit nippy at -23c during the day temperatures which is seasonal...
No snow Steve..although they are forecasting some for this coming week.... we did have a lovely 2 days of sun on Thursday & Friday, and again this morning I made an album for many of the pictures here... http://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/valentines-day-trip-around-east-london-pics.11218/#post-314856
Now, if I had a camera, I would also post some pictures but at present, I don't have a working camera .... My daughter has 4 excellent ones and she is coming up here in May.. She told me NOT to buy one that she doesn't need 4 cameras..
That's another problem for me Holly.... Believe it that we don't own a cell phone... At present, we don't own a camera.. The pictures I post are taken by my neighbour down the street and he sends them to me.. But, as far as we are up here, we (my wife and I) have each other.....
Pity you don't have either the phone or camera Steve..maybe you could get just a simple camera, I'm sure as time goes on you'd love to have memories to keep...
Holly.. I am from the old school.. Memories are kept in pictures that you have in a folder or album, not on a phone or a small screen.. My daughter has 4 cameras and is coming up to visit in May.. She told me she was bringing up a camera for me and not to buy one.. Again, the camera is a digital one, and no pictures to have other than on the camera.. I am used to the old film type of camera, but today there isn't anyone here to develop the film.. I guess I will have to go with what I have and get used to it.. No more picture albums..
With a digital camera Steve, you'll be able to download your photos straight to your computer.. no problems at all. I'm sure your daughter will show you how..
Yes Holly but it is still not having the photo like it was years ago where one can actually have the picture.. No computer, phone or other appliance.. Today if you want to show people pictures, you MUST bring a computer along and you can't give them the picture.. What about events like a wedding album ?? Family pictures we put up on the mantle of the family kids growing up ?? I don't want to have to open up the computer every time I want to look at pictures...
You can print your photos straight from your computer and have them as hard copies like in the old days , or you could put them onto a USB storage stick like this which is about an inch long and holds thousands of pics...which can be inserted in any computer, yours or anyone else's to show the pictures...
