    According to this, Maine has the highest forest coverage of any state, followed by adjacent New Hampshire.

    @Ken Anderson Yay! Most forest means least people! 23 States have population densities (residents per square mile) less than 100 persons; Maine is twelfth (43.1) from the least which is, not surprisingly, Alaska, (1.3). New Jersey and Rhode Island are both over 1000. Those huge states out West and Southwest of course rank fairly low due to their size and having comparatively few big cities.
