I don't like to take any kind of medicine or injection, just a personal preference. If I could manage to get my blood pressure lower by other means I wouldn't take BP medication, either. That's the only prescription I take.

The "old folks" flu shots were scarce for awhile but Brooke and I finally got ours.

We (my wife and I) just got ours yesterday...
We got the "senior" one which is supposed to be a bit stronger............ or something......... Who knows....
I have been getting the flu shot for the past 40 or more years and I NEVER had any reaction to the shot...
I NEVER got the flu either....

Not yet, but plan to. I won't make a special trip to get it. Has to be in conjunction with another errand. :p

I have a mostly indestructible immune system, and very rarely get sick. I don’t eat the sweet foods that most viruses , yeast, and bacteria feed on, so even if i do get subjected to a stray cold or flu, I usually don’t get it very bad because the little critters are not only under attack from my immune system, they are starving to death, and therefore much weaker.
I think that possibly a flu shot might help people who have a compromised immune system, and many people swear by them, so if they think they need that immunity boost, then they probably do, and should get the flu shot.

I've never had them, don't plan too. My Mom was a firm believer of flu shots, she always said they helped her.

Anybody who is not afraid of flu has never had flu. It will take down even the strongest immune system.

I have had the flu. I have also had a reaction to the flu shot. I'd rather avoid both, so I try not to mingle with very many people during the flu season. The problem there is that my wife is out and about as if there aren't diseased people wandering around.

I was in my doctor's office a week ago and there was a kid near me with a horrible, wracking cough. I was glad that I had had my flu shot.

Several people who work in my Senior living facility went home sick today. I am happy I had my flu shot I can tell you.

In 67 years of life, I have had the flu only once, possibly another time when I was a child, but it wasn't diagnosed so I don't know for sure. During that time, I have had a flu shot once and I was sick for days afterward. This time included twenty years of bringing sick people to the hospital. It seems reasonable to take my chances.

Nope not for me, have NOT had a flu shot for probably 30 yrs or more, and no vaccines for that matter and no plans to and I'm 81 and count on my antioxidants to keep my immune system good and strong.

I had the Asian flu at 18 and it was so bad so maybe I'm all flued out....little smidges of flu over many yrs...and if I feel like it may come on, I hit the Oscillo homeopathic remedy, gets it every time...
