Funny but I typed romper room before I wrote Ben Casey but deleted it because I thought not everyone would know it. :)

Also...The Life of Riley and I wanted to be That Girl with Marlo Thomas even though I was blonde.

Speaking of Marlo Thomas her dad had two shows I think...The Danny Thomas Show and Make room for Daddy.

    @Gloria Mitchell ".... Richard Chamberlain?"
"The Thorn Birds". How I remember the wonderful music! My wife and I were then living in a cabin we built in Northern Arizona, both out of work, no electric power or running water. We found we could get a Tucson T-V station using a small 12-volt operated set. I would be working downstairs by kerosene lamp in the evenings, and that music filtered down to me via the stairs.......the best time of our life together.

That's really cool Gloria that you got to see Howdy Doody Show in person. My only memory of that show was something on Happy Days during an episode but I'm not 100% sure.

Chrissy, 10 or more years ago a few people where I worked went down to LA and went to The Price Is Right. No one got called but they were in awe of how small everything was. They make it look bigger on TV.

Richard Chamberlain. Remember The Thorn Birds? It was actually good. A bit creepy. Anyone remember that show Soap?

@Kitty Carmel , yes I remember Soap...it was funny and I think I watched it but can't remember too much about it. Will see if it's on YouTube.

I don't remember listening to radio except for songs and it was a transistor radio. Think we had our first TV when I was about 4 in 1955.

I am watching the orginal 'Star Trek' TV shows on BBC America
an one episode has an actor that I remember, but not his name.

I remember he was in a show in the 70's, so to Google I go.

The show was 'Here Come the Brides' 1968-1970 and starred Robert Brown
( the actor who started my search ) Bobby Sherman and David Soul.

Lumber Jacks living in Seattle. A fun, family show.

    Anybody remember it?

I saw that you replied to this post and before I clicked on it to see what you wrote ...7th Heaven popped into my head. :)

    And I was right, :)

There are so many old shows that Ive forgotten about on Netflix. Some are very old, I can't really seem to get into them too much anymore.

I binge-watched that on Netflix, Hulu or somewhere about a year ago. As a preacher, I would have certainly considered him to be on the liberal side but, as a television show, it was a lot better than most of the rest of the stuff that was available.

One of my favorites was Star Trek. I watched the original episode on tape a couple of years ago and was amazed at how primitive the special effects were. They sure improved them a lot as time went by.

Where I used to work one of my resident's was always watching Dr Quinn Medicine Woman when I took him his bedtime meds. That was a pretty good show also. I don't think I get that channel though.

I loved Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. Another one that only lasted a couple of seasons, which I liked, was Christy, about a teacher in the Appalachians circa early 1900s.

Two shows that I enjoyed had to do with travel and lending a helping hand.

'Route 66' and 'Then Came Bronson'.

Route 66 was the more famous of the two, but there was something about a disillusioned guy
traveling around on a Harley-Davidson Sportster.

It only aired for one season.

Bandstand intrigued me almost daily. It came on after I got home from high school, in the afternoon. What intrigued me was the girls.......
