We are lucky in that our kids live within 20 miles. We see them several times a week and enjoy the grands staying over. Our oldest grandchildren, (Actually mine from a previous marriage). were local until last year when they moved to Baltimore. We have seen them twice since then.
I went to sleep in recliner around one Am. Up now and it is going too be a long day. My brother has been missing since Tuesday morning. He has dementia. Can you say Nightmare? There is more to this but for now have to leave some things out. Tracking debit cards - as of 6 pm last night he had just left Pineville La. His phone has been dead since early yesterday. SIL spoke with him around 10:30 Tuesday morning. He was suppose to go to nearby town and pick up medicine. Trying to get a Silver alert going but most times have to wait 72 hours. There are several Bolos out from Texas to Alexandria La as of yesterday. Missing person has been filed. So we wait, and as you may guess that is a killer. We are leaving early today to go down to be with my SIL. They live about and hour or more from us. I know there are several here who have spouses with this disease, and you know first hand how fearful we are as to what can happen to anyone , but especially the most venerable. So may take few days before I can get back on here.
Saying prayers for you and your family. @Gloria Mitchell , and hoping that your brother can be found safe and sound. I was wondering why he would be out driving around (especially alone) if he has dementia and doesn’t remember things. Or was he on some kind of public transportation where they might be able to track where he went ? I know this will take up your whole time until he is found, but give us updates as you can, and remember that we all care about you here.

He was found last night and was picked up by his daughter and a grandson son of mine. He was relieved to be found and in very good spirits. We all were afraid he would be mad at us all for announcing his disappearance to police and having silver Alert put out...because he thought no one knew of his dementia except us. Turns out he glad now all everyone knows. The other concern was he carries a gun, but he does have permit to carry. You all know how so many ways this could have turned into something worse. He was only suppose to go 16 miles to pick up Rx. He wound up in Benton La. His driving alone days are over. bullets will now become blanks. My daughters and his daughter, my grandson the detective all played an active role in his return and so grateful to them and all the wonderful police depts. for their help. He have dubbed him as ta man On Tha Road Again Thank you all for prayers and concern. it was an exhausting experience
