An Orb Weaver spider.
Is it that big?? Looks kind of like a mushroom
Also, welcome to the forum. @Jeff Fogey
Thank you for the welcome.
It does look like a bit like a mushroom, doesn't it. Maybe that's its camouflage. lol.
It would be a scary problem indeed if it were that big; no, it would fit on my thumbnail. I just got very close
Oooh good grief....that's scary.... but amazing.
welcome to the forum Jeff... I'm in rural Herts..
We're all just photo takers on here ....you're going to put us all to Shame I can tell...
This is a field in the lane where I live...
Now that, Holly, I like very much.
Stunning composition. Well spotted and taken.
Well, thank you Kind Sir... a compliment indeed
A few from my garden.
A few years ago...
This is of my second great grandson, Griffin, and his baby sister. Whenever he or his older brother get time outs, little Robin just joins in, although she isn’t in trouble. I guess she’s keeping him copy, or maybe she’s showing support.
awwww Ina how cute is that???
Yes @Holly Saunders, something tells me she is going to be one of those little sisters that tags along everywhere they go, and she already thinks her big brothers can do no wrong ... without her.
Their momma is a good one. Every since she was little, all she’s ever wanted was to have a bunch of children and be a mommy.
It’s good to know some good ones are out there. That’s something we both understand just how important that is.
White water rafting at our local purpose made leisure centre....
A great set of pics, Holly. Whatever happened to the poor woman in the front of the raft in the last photo.
Did she get washed overboard?
No she didn't jeff.....although so many of them do.....it's very funny to watch them trying to stay upright on the waterfalls....
Great photos Holly! I was startled to quite accidentally witness white water rafting in Durango, Colorado. The Animas River runs through that scenic mountain town and the rapids there provide a white water rafting course where there were a group of kayaker's practicing their skills..
A simple subject.
An old ruin farmhouse in Southern Spain....
Brading Roman museum, Isle of Wight.
Four slightly tipsy ladies after lunch. No idea who they were....the one second from left reminds me of a dear departed aunt.
The umbrella comes from the Mountbatten hospice shop
I still haven't been to the IOW ( even tho' I lived in Gosport just across the water years ago ....although Hubs has visited, for work purposes... I remember talking to you a few years ago Mike about the best parts of the IOW to visit if only going for a day or 2...but I just have never found the time to go. The summer puts me off because of the tourists and then of course winter will be cold and or wet...so not really sure when is the best time to visit tbh...
This is our village post office... well at least it was until recently when they closed the post office part, and now it's just a house..
One of the farms down the lane...
