Well, by now all of the members of this forum know that wife and I love tv and movies. Yep, no quiet times, other than when we are asleep or during the weekday hours when wife is at work. But, a dog movie is one of our best to see. So, last Friday evening we decided to go and see the movie Megan Leavey. A great movie about a Marine Corp Corporal and her bomb-sniffing/detecting German Shepard, Rex. Besides having the buttered popcorn and Coke, have some Kleenex ready as well. The ending is great! We've seen A Dog's Purpose twice, with Dennis Quaid in it. Sort of weird how the dog dies and then comes back as a different dog to new owners, but, like Megan Leavey, a great ending. Rented and watched Max 2 over the weekend. The first Max movie was better. Another good one was Hotel For Dogs.
thanks for the review Cody. the first Max flick was really good. the 2nd didn't look all that great. haven't seen Megan Leavey yet that may be a winner. I can download the file A Dog's Purpose. see if my wife wants to see it first. I can also get Hotel for dogs to
I saw "Marley and Me" one Christmas Day with my daughter ...big mistake, although a good movie, we both cried at the end.
We have both 8 Below and Snow Dogs on DVD. The main sled dog in Snow Dogs is also in 8 Below. His real name is Don Juan.
Is it sad? Looks like it could be. Had tears welling up with just the trailer, when the guy tells Hachi his owner isn't coming.
It is sad, but also uplifting The devotion of a pet is always uplifting I know of a few true stories like this - amazing and beautiful film
Chrissy, not everything in life can be happy. We get "teary-eyed" also watching different movies, but still watch them. Just have a good supply of Kleenex or snack bar napkins in hand.
