F.R.A.P.ing-- Frenetic Random Activity Periods Why Does My Dog Race Through My House? http://www.vetstreet.com/dr-marty-becker/why-does-my-dog-race-through-my-house My own dog does this every day.
My dog has swag! actually he goes crazy but he attacks his bed for not apparent reason. Will take a corner of it in his mouth and start shaking it like he does with his toys. Other times he tries to rip it apart and eventually succeeds. He'll work on a small hole and start pulling the stuffing out until I have to buy a new bed. Usually this happens late afternoon but can happen any time. Sometimes instead of tearing his bed apart he just humps it.
LOL Chrissy! My dog steals shoes. I had to buy a small shelf until to put our shoes on near the back door, since we remove shoes while in the house. Otherwise doggie will hide them.
Pickles will grab socks, he used to do it more often as a puppy but will still do it on occasion. I just let him have it because if I try to get it away from him, then it becomes a game.
Not every day, but my LilBear has FRAP every few days or so. So comical. Never could figure out what sets it off. ... it's a mad rush around the furniture, and when something gets in the way and there's no time for detours .. it's into the air and over the sofa. My big Lab just sits there in disgust at the silliness.
I've had more cats in my life than dogs and it seems that cats will go crazy running around moreso than dogs.
My oldest cat is buried in Hungary, he was 16 and yes,he didn't run around either anymore. Skittles is a good looking cat, Bonnie.
