    Hi

Can anyone tell me how to delete conversations.

I love our chats but I am not one for holding onto conversations.

    Thanks

You can't. They are there forever.

I have ones from a year ago.

You can leave a conversation and that will delete it from your list.

Yes, it works differently than some other sites. Maybe everyone has to delete the conversation.
I have some old ones where there were 5 of us yakking but they are all still there on my end...don't know if the other participants left those conversations or not but I still can see them even though nobody has said anything since April.

So, we are stuck with the things we may have regretted saying later, even after deleting those conversations? Geez! Aw, Geez........what all have I said.........

Sorry @Denise Happyfeet , it's too late! Cannot be undone. As Puff the Magic Dragon did, I will slink back into my cave......

Hi @Frank Sanoica I never say anything I wouldn't in a normal thread. I have nothing to hide ;)x I sometimes think it makes the person you have had chats feel more comfortable to know you have deleted the conversation.

From my experience, a reply can be deleted, but a "reason" has to be posted where the reply was. Also, if too many replies are made after the reply that a person has posted, it can not be deleted at all. To find out if you can delete a reply, look on the bottom of the reply. If there is "Edit", "Delete", you can either edit or delete the posting.

I don't know for sure. I don't see an option to delete a conversation but there is an option to leave a conversation. Maybe if everyone in the conversation leaves it, it will go away. Or maybe it will still be there but since no one will have access to it, it won't really matter. I'm thinking that if you leave a conversation, you won't be able to see it anymore.

Okay, this seems to be the equivalent of deleting it. Although it remains in the database somewhere, no one will have access to it if everyone leaves the conversation.

Find the conversation that you want to be rid of.
Click the box at the left of the conversation.
You will be given two choices:
    --- Accept future messages
    --- Ignore future messages

If you choose to accept future messages, it will pop up again if the other party to the conversation has not left it, and posts something new. If you choose to ignore future messages, it will not, which should be a close equivalent to deleting it.

I think Cody is talking about a regular post and not a PM.
I had several PM conversations gone from my pms and cannot find them at all? how was that person able to delete them.?? very strange.

I don't think so because I have ones from a long time ago. Ones with people that aren't even on here anymore.
