My Great Nephew, in the Marine Corps, called us this morning. His step-mother and father, my nephew Dan, 5 years younger than I, have been tested positive for the virus. Kay is in the hospital, Dan is home alone. Danny is quite worried about his dad being alone. Little that we can do. I called Dan. Symptoms began only yesterday, so may worsen, I gather. In recent months, Dan poo-pooed when I questioned him about safeguards. Kay's daughters took her to the hospital; no mention was made about Dan being considered, or refused, or what. My wife and I are concerned, but 1500 miles away. I promised Dan I would call him again in a day or two. Frank
Sorry to hear this, Frank. I know it's frustrating to be so far away but you certainly don't need to be exposed. My best wishes to both of them.
That's what we all are afraid of, @Frank Sanoica . Some time ago hardly anyone knew someone in their immediate vicinity or family who was infected....Keeping my fingers crossed.
@Frank Sanoica, sad news it is to hear about your family. I will keep you and your family lifted up in thoughts and prayers.
@Frank Sanoica Sorry to hear that. My first cousin in her 60's is now being over the virus. No hospital but I hear still rough. Hope for speedy recovery...keep us posted.
I currently have what I think is a cold, but these days your mind turns to covid. It is taking the familiar route as in the past so I think that's what it is and nearing it's end. No lung issues so that's what makes me think it's a cold. Been social distancing and wearing a mask and it didn't help. Makes me wonder if colds are transmitted person to person or some other way.
On another forum, some yo-yo keeps posting the number of COVID cases daily. The numbers are astronomically high, I began to think the entire world had already been infected. Not all were positive cases and some were so mild that it was over before results were realized. Keep praying, Frank.
