I just listened to a commentator who compared Trump's winning the Presidency ta a non-violent version of the Roman Social War. The coasts being privileged and sculpting the culture to profit themselves while leaving the center of the country to rot and telling the people who created the country that they weren't needed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_War_(91–88_BC)
Yeah, I think Brexit is old people who remember what Britain was before the EU and long for that. Trump's election may be similar. As I understand it, the EU is kind of a dictatorial board run by appointees that nobody really votes for. Does anybody vote to elect the EU governing board?
