@Ken Anderson , we're looking for a place to have a product recall thread. Health? Shopping? What you you suggest?

If it were started in Health, I wouldn't complain but I'd say Shopping might be a better choice.

It's so awful when they've got recalls of any kind happening! I saw this on the news and will share it on twitter and facebook too-thanks for the notice too. I love tuna and passed by the display many times and just didn't buy it, whew!!!

I don't pay close attention, but it seems that Bumble Bee has a lot of recalls.

Sheesh, I have a bunch in my pantry, will have to look into the recalls and verify that mine is safe. I don't even remember which ones I have on hand. I tend to buy whatever's on sale. I was really low, so stocked up, buying about 10 cans fairly recently. Hopefully none are on the recall list. I really wish these large companies would pay more attention to safety precautions.

Once something is on a recall list I don't eat or buy it from anywhere or even trust the lot numbers because it always expands to more later.

The "kicker" in all of this is, I think, concern for "pathogens", IOW, living organisms which could be harmful if ingested right out of the can. I often throw a can or two of tuna into my "soup" in the evening, 5 minutes or so before it's done cooking. Boiling should kill any pathogens, so IMO eating the bad tuna is no problem if you cook it.

I could be wrong. Had a can night before last, another yesterday evening. If I'm gone tomorrow.............
