That sounds like a very healthy breakfast @Yvonne Smith , wonder why you're feeling so tired..anyway hope you perk up soon and get off to the fitness centre... .

It's past 3pm here...so breakfast /brunch..because I don't eat as soon as I get up... for me was a long time ago..I had a handful of stoned dried dates and a cuppa tea ...then an hour or so later I had a rasher of bacon and one poached egg on 7 seeded toast (kinda lunch by then actually)

Sounds good @Yvonne Smith ...low carb and healthy! Since I have to have my fiber one in the morning, I'll have something similar to your breakfast for lunch.

I haven't had breakfast yet but I'm thinking sausage, eggs and toast, maybe some grits.

No taters or beans for breakfast here. I might have them for supper.

I only had one slice of fresh 7 seeded granary bread with butter and a poached egg for breakfast this morning and a cuppa tea ... that was about 10am about an hour and a half after I got up....oooh I love this retirement lark.. Just 6 weeks ago I'd have been at work for 3 hours by that time :D

As my hours are a bit skewed I have whatever I want at whatever time of day now. I had honey ham deli slices on rye with tomato slices, honey mustard and some light mayo, also a lukewarm cup of french vanilla coffee with vanilla soymilk.

With the cold weather we have been having this month, I have been having fresh oatmeal for breakfast many mornings now. My dad used to make oatmeal when I was a kid, and I didn’t like it back then. We called it “mush” and mushy was exactly how it tasted !
However, I really enjoyed having breakfast with my dad, so I ate the mush along with him, just to share the companionship together.
Now, I make my oatmeal a lot different than just the plain old oatmeal cooked in water with milk and sugar on top that we had when I was young. I chop up half and apple in the food processor, grind some flax seed, pumpkin seed, and chia seeds in the little Ninja cup blender while the oatmeal is cooking and then add all of that to the oatmeal befor I eat it, along with a spoonful of coconut oil for the MCT’s that coconut oil provides.
Today, I made almond milk, but instead of making it with water, I made it in regular milk with a little extra vanilla flavoring, and a half scoop of the vanilla protein powder. The results are delicious, and this is what I will be using in my oatmeal breakfasts (and probably in my morning coffee) from now on.
Almonds, especially raw almonds, are one of the healthiest foods that we can eat, so I am trying to get more of these healthy foods into my diet again.

Funny how all are tastes are different....I can't stand chocolate anymore. Used to like it but the thought of it even makes me ill.

Maybe I had too much of it in my life, just sick of it.

I just had some more avocado toast....in fact just took my last bite and it's only 4:30 am.....I'll be ready for lunch at 9, lol.

Lolol oh such funnie this morning. Chocolate is good...the expensive good kind. When given a choice I usually pick vanilla strawberry.
    Always I claimed I hated avocados...until last year...now I love it !

Avocados are one of those foods that HAS to be just perfectly ripe when you eat it, and not much room for tolerance. If it is a bit too green, it is a pretty color of green flesh; but the taste is almost bitter. On the other hand, if it is just a little too ripe, then the color is a seriously ugly greenish-brownish-yellow, and the texture is more like mush and the taste is awful.
So, if your first taste of an avocado is not one that is perfectly ripened, then a person would probably never, ever want to eat another one.
As far as chocolate, I love it as much as the next person, but when I am staying away from sugary foods and eating the low-carb food that I know I should be eating, then I have no craving for chocolate like I do otherwise.
I think that this might be because the dark deep chocolate has some magnesium in it, which is being depleted by sugary foods; but when I am having lots of greens and green smoothies, then my magnesium level is topped out so I have very few food cravings.

My breakfast routine is quite boring ... usually cold oatmeal prepared the night before with cinnamon and vanilla, topped with bananas and prunes. Sometimes I'll go wild and do bacon and eggs 'lol ... or Hungry Jack pancakes.

I made homemade granola the other day, and it turned out so delicious; so I have had granola and Greek yogurt for breakfast the last two days, and also some as a late evening mini-meal.
I love granola, especially with all kinds of seeds and dried fruit; but it costs so much for just a little package of it. Making my own is much cheaper, and it has just what I want in it.

    Welcome @Katie Kelly welcome-sign-760358_960_720.jpg

This morning I had a thick slice of wholemeal bread with marmalade...and then about 2 hours later I had a big bowl of porridge oats, with skimmed milk and seedless dates
