Most of the time we take our sight for granted and for many mothers seeing their baby inside their womb is a very special moment. For 30-year-old Tatiana Guerra from Brazil who lost her vision at the age of 17 this was not possible, but by turning the ultrasound into a 3D-printed cast she was able to visualize her special moment.
3D printing is really going to change the world. I just wish it wasn't so easy for people to use it for bad things like printing guns.
This is a beautiful story. This woman seem so pleased that she could share in the moemnt of being able to view her unborn child even wihtout her sight. 3-D printing made this moment possible for her. As others have said this technology has the ability to do some great things, but it can also be used for some bad things in the wrong hands. I guess that goes for just about every technology out there.
The things computers can do is amazing! I didn't know that computers can make a cast in a few minutes! How nice of the doctor to do that for the expecting mom. What a beautiful story!
