BATS. Bacon, avocado, and tomato sandwiches. At least 6 slices of bacon, thick slices of tomato and avocado, a generous spread of mayonnaise on toasted whole grain bread.
Reminds me of the Radish, Avocado, Tomato Sandwich Just a side-note: The Pennsylvania brown bat will eat its weight in bugs each day,
Your post sounded so good, @Sheldon Scott , that I decided that was what I wanted. I got some bacon out of the freezer, thawed and cooked it, and added the avocado and tomato. Since bread is not on low-carb, I had mine with romaine instead, and mayo dressing. It was truly delicious ! ! Your RATS sandwich looks downright delicious, too, @Joe Riley ! I think there needs to be better names for them though, because I just do not want to say (even though they are both protein and allowable ) that I am consuming bats and rats on my diet.
Rats? Bats? After the initial shock I was really quite relieved that these are just acronyms for actual food. But more than that, I was even more relieved and quite happy for the old lady who swallowed a fly and later probably died from swallowing a cow. Certainly, as with the rats and bats example, the COW she swallowed was probably a nice Cold cut, Old Amsterdam cheese and Watercress sandwich. Oh yes, with the crust removed of course. I would think that the COW she swallowed, unless she didn't chew, did her no harm and she probably lived a great deal longer.
I agree with Bobby, that a sandwich coordination plan must be implemented, so that when serving RATS, be sure to serve CATS along with them. CATS: Cucumber, Apple, Tomato Sandwiches.
