When I selected a bunch of bananas at the store the other day, I got a surprise! Normally the stick-on label read "Picked in Guatemala" or some such country. The labels on these bananas have a picture of Curious George, and says "Now on hulu" with the Del Monte logo, at the bottom. Quite a mouthful for a banana sticker! What are your bananas saying? ...another nutella idea?
I just bought some at Trader Joe's, I'll take a look. I usually don't like or eat bananas but a post on here got me thinking maybe I should, so plan on forcing a banana down my throat for breakfast tomorrow. I've been lax lately in my eating habits but time to get back on track. Took a pic of the bunch I bought and this is what they say..... They were also 29 cents a piece and I bought 5.
We also have Dole bananas here aside from their usual pineapple. And we do have the Dole sweet corn as well that is wrapped in vacuum plastic which has an exorbitant tag price. So Dole and Del Monte are expanding their realm from the pineapple plantation into different plantations. By the way, some years ago, we had been to the Del Monte pineapple plantation in Mindanao. It was a vast farm of pineapple with hundreds of workers. We savor peanut butter on banana but I still have to try Nutella. Maybe one of these days when I go to the supermarket, I will buy a small bottle of Nutella.
Oh, now advertising on bananas. Not enough to have them on tv, internet, radio, and print? (Can you hear my head moving side to side?)
Today's Banana sticker says "WIN A BANANA COSTUME) Starts TODAY, at 6 PM (September 1st) Just in time for Halloween!
