Patsy, usually it works the other way. If I worry about something happening, it never does.

Guess I needed to focus specifically on the coffee pot. Ha!

I'm sure I love my son and his son; sure my son loves me; grandson only nine months old but I'm sure he does in a baby way.

I've always felt rewarded by the fact that as things break, I'm able to fix them. Sometimes during a "cold lull" when nothing goes awry, I find myself contriving to find problems non-existent. That brings to mind one guy's signature on one of my past automobile forums: "Always fixing sh!t that ain't broke".

Broken coffee pot so no coffee in the morning? That breakage should be listed somewhere in the FEMA manuals as a disaster or at the very least I’m “sure” that it’s a good reason to call 911 !

This is why I will never surrender my old drip coffeepot, stashed away as a last resort. I can't deal with a coffee emergency.
