    Dominican Republic where I live
    Year # of Cows 2014
    3,000,000

    10,000,000 people in the DR
There is a hospital in every town cites have hospitals and clinics for people
There is no bovine hospitals for cows or pigs chickens
All cattle and calves in the United States as of January 1, 2015 totaled 89.8 million head, 1% above the 88.5 million as of January 1, 2014. Prior to 2014, the U.S. cattle inventory had not been under 90 million head for 60 plus years (since 1952).
Population of the USA 318.9 million in 2014
    5,564 Register hospitals
Number of U.S. Retail Health Clinics Will Surpass 2,800 by 2017
There are about 1,100 teaching hospitals in the United States. Approximately 375 of the larger institutions belong to the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems
Bovine hospitals ___ most are experimental linked to universities
Cattle and horses can get diabetes so it is not just a human disease
High blood pressure is possible but so rare it is not in veterinarian medicine
ADD, ADHD, Alzheimer’s, not heard of
Cancer rare but does show up in feedlot animals or animals exposed to radiation or poisons but extremely in grass fed cows.
Arthritis happens in animals’ feedlot animals and not in animals in the nature if so very rare.
If we allowed the medical system to run veterinarian medicine you would not be able to afford a hamburger.

Are people animals yes well what is going on? Have we been listening to a group of people who want to make money off of us?

I guess we are animals really - some of us more intelligent, some of us not
A lot of similarities though for sure
I know that's not the true meaning of your thread but I usually say what comes to mind ..........

Patsy I look at the obvious and make a judgement If I would compare our medical system with a veterinarian sad to say they are doing a better job. Sometimes they are right like my next door neighbor just past away they doctor told him he should not smoke and eat all that grease so the doctor was right. Oh my next door neighbor was 104 years old I love talking with him his mind was sharp as a tack.

    @Martin Alonzo

Your 104 year old neighbour being told not to smoke or eat greasy food brought to mind the last time I saw my dear old grand-dad. He was 97 and not using full cream in his coffee because of "doctor's orders". I was so sorry that he was denying himself that small pleasure at that late stage of his life!

And, sure enough, he died soon after. I wish he had been able to enjoy his daily coffees those last few months.

But that made me wonder: at what point DOES one decide to forego all the health rules one is carefully following? Especially if you want to (or expect to) live to 100?
For me, I will consider eating all the cream, cheese, gravy, fried foods, candy, and onion rings I want when I hit 85; maybe. My body wouldn't know what hit it!

But, are we animals? I tend to prefer Shakespeare's answer:

"What a piece of work is a man!
    How noble in reason
    how infinite in faculty!
In form and moving how express and admirable!
In action how like an Angel!"

It's balance in everything in my opinion, getting stressed over your diet, can be as much a killer as eating possibly unhealthy foods............I think we are half animal, half human, when in our animal mode we often do terrible things to each other, when behaving as humans we can be kindness itself .......

It is funny that the doctor following his information will not live to 90

The life expectancy of American doctors by their own figures is 56 so I am giving him the benefit.

It is more dangerous to be a naturopath doctor because they are dying even earlier but their death is by gunshot or mysterious deaths some even commit suicide by shooting themselves in the head usually repeated times.
