    The full moon closest to the equinox rises soon after sunset, casting a glow early evening that helps farmers bring in their crops.

    And it's the one early Texas pioneers dreaded the most. It was called a Comanche moon because they could expect Comanche raiding parties to spread a reign of terror on outlying settlers.
