GMOs have been mentioned before but how are we to avoid them? The US doesn't require labeling and most of the food we buy doesn't come in Organic versions. We grow most of our own vegetables but that only covers part of what we consume. We buy almost all our meat, plus flour, cornmeal and other staples.

    Any thoughts on this?

One doctor that I had talked to recently was actually a veterinarian. We were talking of dog food and he shifted to GMO. He said that chicken is far different from the chicken of old because poultry farms have been feeding chickens with chemicals. And it dawned on me that eggs have very thin shells now that sometimes I tend to crush the whole egg when I am frying in the morning. With the meat, boil chicken meat and see for yourself the oil in the broth. It is very oily. So we have decreased our intake of chicken meat because of that realization. As they say, more fish and vegetables will make you live longer.
