Finally got a weekend off. Trying to relax. We have an upcoming river festival and an overflowing ER. I have a vacation scheduled for Oct. but I don't know if they'll take them away again this fall. I hope not. That would be 2 years with nothing except four days off. It's in the triple digits again today. Getting ready to fix something to eat. Not sure what yet.

When I was hospitalized last Monday, I had a private room (I suppose it was an "observation" area) and the nurses and aides were so nice. I was able to be in my room with no mask on, thank goodness. But the nurses were double-masked with face shields and gloves on. I felt so sorry for them having to work long shifts in that getup.
we just have the masks to deal with unless we pass trays then we either hafta mask with a face shield or those safety glasses. for now until they run out of ppe again they won't let us wear our cloth masks in our dept. i feel less safe with that paper mask.

9-1-21 @Marci Miller, Marci you getting any haze or smoke up your way? It is clear here but hazy, skies sort of grey and not blue. Thought we might e getting more smoke from west coast fires.
yes. it's sunny but kind of a hazy sunny. we had a good pouring rain sunday so it might have cleared it some.
