a quote from the movie "Magnum Force" Well now---at age 81 I certainly know my limitations Do you know and accept yours? BTW Clint and I went to the same high school in Oakland California. he was a couple years ahead of me.

The "World's Most Powerful Handgun" was a Smith & Wesson Model 29, caliber .44 Magnum, with 8-3/8" barrel length. The 29 forms a legend all by itself. Way back in the '50s, a fellow in Montana who had done extensive work and research on .44 caliber loadings, beseeched S & W with his data, pleading for them to introduce a new revolver in that caliber. They agreed, evidently, that a "market" either existed, or could develop, and complied, introducing their new Model 29 in , I think it was, 1956. The guy was later learned to be one of the most prolific and instigative "Gun Culture" contributors of the last century. His name was Elmer Keith. His autobiography, most interesting reading, is entitled, "Hell, I Was There!". Frank
Yep. I went through my teen years reading the writings of Elmer Keith, Warren Page, Jack O'Connor and others. Great bunch of guys.
I don't recall him ever reloading his gun in the movie but I who say five because based on that quote.
Learning my limitations, accepting them and working with them has given me peace of mind. We all have limitations of one sort or another. Once they are accepted, it helps us make better decisions for ourselves. At least, that is what I have experienced in my personal life.
I have no idea of what my limitations are. If I try and I can't do it then I know. And i will try it again just to make sure I can't.
