    It is NOT 35 billion years old, it is 35 billion light years away/distant. The observable Universe is about 95 billion light years in diameter. It has been and continues to expand rapidly since the Big Bang.

    Also, as far as we know, nothing in the universe can exceed the speed of light. However, again to the best of my knowledge, no such limitation exists on the expansion of the universe itself.

    The speed of light applies to the expansion also.

    Interesting. I looked it up though and this is what it says. Bear in mind, I’m a biologist, not a physicist.
