Okay, hoping for the best with posting these. I guess I'll put them all in one post instead of separately. 1. Chapel at the Mission Nombre de Dios. Very peaceful on the grounds... nice walk... lagoon. 2. The actual "fountain of youth"... looks yukky but you can take your paper cup there and fill it up. Does it work? I'll never tell! 3. Castillo de San Marcos Made of coquina and never penetrated by enemy fire. 4. St. George Street... a pedestrian shopping street. Nice walk from one end to the other... unless you buy too much, then ya feel like a pack mule. 5. The Fountain of Youth Archeological Park has more of these gorgeous creatures every time I go back. They're nice just walking around, but when they strut their stuff, it's breathtaking.
Love the peacock! You should have bought me back some from the fountain of youth. Mail me some water.
I replied to this post earlier but it too, is missing. Sorry Mari, but I did, and do, thank you. I enjoyed them and asked you to send me a bottle ,.......for a friend.
Half the posts have gone missing from this thread... Thanks @Mari North ..I love to look at pictures...glad to have you back chikadee.. hope you enjoyed your trip
Thanks for the interesting pics Mari, at least the gremlins didn't touch them. I agree Peacocks just look breathtaking and unreal when they do their display.
The post where I was going to ship you enough to fill your bathtub is among those missing posts but I'll remember. Well maybe... remind me next spring!
