    To get the maximum mineral bioavailability out of the humble banana... make banana tea!

    A quick search on the subject will inundate you with a barrage of reasons and recipes. Now that's telling.

    Long story short... if you boil organic bananas, skin and all, for any reasonable duration - you will have extracted more potassium and magnesium into the now floral scented and most beautiful blue tea for imbibation!

    Just don't drink more than a gallon over a short span of time... not really harmful but pretty hypnotic (...long story).

    I have 2 bananas per week.

    For Tuesday's and Thursday's breakfasts, I slice a Banana into 14-16 slices and fill the bowl with a sensible and healthful Cereal, like Raisin Bran or other cereals containing chunks of Real Fruit. Then Sugar and Almond Milk (no dairy products), and I'm Jake!;)

    Hold it, Joe..."Jake" is a slang term from the 1930's meaning "Great", "Fine", "Swell", etc.

    EASY BANANA DOUGHNUTS

    This recipe of easy banana doughnuts is an awesome way to use ripe bananas that are sitting around. It is also a great recipe to put together for a brunch. It is a fast snack to make while they are around.

    how to make these easy banana doughnuts:
    • First, we will take care of the dry ingredients. Grab a mixing bowl and combine together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.
    • Separately, we will take care of the wet ingredients. Combine the eggs, milk, olive oil and vanilla. Beat lightly.
    • Pour the liquid ingredients over the dry ones and mix together.
    • Mash the bananas with a fork and add them to the batter.
    • Heat up oil to a temperature between 360-375F. The best way to find out what temperature you have in the pot is to get a thermometer.
    • Using a tablespoon, pour the batter in the oil and let the doughnut cook for about 2 minutes on each side until brown.
    • Remove from the pan and drain them on paper towels.
    • Tip: Do not crowd the doughnuts in the pan. 3-4 doughnuts should be enough for one batch.
    • Serve them hot or cold dusted in powder sugar.
