So, after a 52 year drought, for any sports championships, the Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA Championship title in game play tonight. They were led by LeBron James who made good on his promise, to bring a championship to Cleveland. I must admit...I really don't like basketball and don't follow it at all as rule...I watched this game, and it was one of the most exciting sports events I had seen in a long time! Great Game!!
You may not believe this. Our 2 housemaids are NBA fans and they are up to date with the championship games of Cavaliers and GS Warriors. Just to give them more fun, I challenged them both to a bet. They go for Golden State so my only choice is to go for the Cavs. The bet is 50 pesos for each of them, that's a little more than $1. Well, in that game, I lost 100 pesos. On the next game, they were the ones who challenged me. Okay, I relented. But this time, the Cavs won. So we are even in the score and money betting. Fine. But the following game, they again challenged me. To make the story short, I won 2 straight games versus their 1 game. And today, it is another betting day for the last game of the Cavs versus GS Warrriors. Maybe you already know that I came out winner of 200 pesos from both our 2 housemaids.
Ohhh tooo funny Corrie! I didn't realize this game would be watched avidly by people all over the world.! It was a fantastic game, and I am so glad I watched...even though I didn't see the entire thing,,,I saw it for the last hour or so, it was amazing the lead kept going back and forth. I am sure the fans were all on the edges of their seats. It's about time for poor Cleveland to win something! This game could revive some long lost city pride! They will make LeBron King of Cleveland...lol.
I'm a sports fan, mostly of football, but I had to watch this NBA championship game. I'm old enough to remember when the Browns brought Cleveland their last big title.. like stated, 52 long years ago. I'm originally from the area, and glad to see Cleveland come out on top.
