If I allowed myself to, I could spend a lot of money at Hobby Lobby. As it was, we went there for one small thing and ended up buying a bunch of stuff. Aside from the crafts stuff, the home decor items alone are enough to drain my budget, although the prices aren't bad at all. One of the last things we need in our house is another clock, yet there were several there that my wife and I both wanted to buy. Furniture pieces, candle holders, and countless other things to spend money on.

My daughter loves Hobby Lobby and everytime I go to Texas to spend some time playing with my youngest granddaughter...we always end up going shopping over there. They do have wonderful things there but I don't buy to much as I just don't have room for all those things in our cozy cottage. I do buy my oldest granddaughter's art supplies for her Christmas and birthday presents over there...and I make sure I have the 40% off coupons when I do go shopping there.

When it comes time to furnish our camp, I think I'll look to Hobby Lobby for some of it.

I went into a Hobby Lobby once and didn't stay but a minute. It couldn't have been the same store that is mentioned in this thread. I was very disappointed when I saw remote devices on the shelves.

I don't recall seeing any remote devices there, and few electrical devices for that matter, although I suppose remote control stuff can be considered a hobby, so they may have carried it at one time. Other than the hobby supplies (crafts, scrapbooking, fabric, beading, art, etc.), they mostly carry home decor stuff, largely made to appear antique or period stuff, such as reproductions of old advertising signs, lanterns, furniture, and that sort of thing.

I too am a fan of Hobby Lobby and always find what I am looking for and more. When it comes to seasonal items, it's the best place to shop since those items are usually on sale and you can use the 40% coupon online too.

I went to that store one time.. It was one of the few places I could still find battery operated lights, as in a string, for a holiday craft project I was making. It is very large. I think it is one of the biggest craft/decor/home electronics stores around. It seemed to be much larger and better stocked than one of it's competitors, Michael's for instance. I liked Hobby Lobby, I am not a huge craft type person though. I would rather browse a bookstore honestly.

I love Hobby Lobby. I don't get there nearly as much as I used to, but they have a nice variety of yarn and thread, as well as beads. I also like their home decor section, and they have a really nice variety of Christmas decorations. I still use the tree I purchased there back around 2003, although it could probably stand to be replaced by now. When I go, I usually print out two of the coupons, and invariably there's someone in line without one, so I will give them my extra.
