Today I cut some of the larger lower limbs off cedar trees and then used the truck to pull them to the field. But I had to drag them first by hand to tie them with a chain to pull, and as pulled a few big ones by hand then drag them to the truck; that cold we had two weeks ago must have kicked back in, because, for a few minutes, I thought I was gonna die, I was so breathless after just pulling just a few of them.
Either that or I'm getting too old for that kind of stuff. :(
Did finally get them out to the field, and it looks a lot better now.:)

I have a huge pyre set up in the field. Hoping to light it with the first snow so it won't burn the rented hay crop. You are not too old. that cold made me feel like a dishrag for a week.

Yeah, I think the cold, did play a big part in it too. Still smarter to go slower maybe, but we sometimes forget that it seems. What's a pyre? You burn it, must not be good, huh? Dishrag is a good description of the way I felt too. I took Marie to ER last night, and they did lots of tests on her, her having the same symptoms as me, and they tested for covid and flu, both negative. Said it was inflammation and gave her a steroid script for five days and a nebulizer inhaler script. So at least we found out what the bug was.:)

Hope you both feel better. I am starting too. I didn't get tested and don't see the point for me. I am seldom out around people and my chickens don't care.

Thanks, Mary, Marie seems a little better now with the five-day steroids, and as for me, I'm getting a little better each day. We have a dental appt. today at two pm, and I never do good with them, some kind of phobia about dentists, Marie handles them better, but even after bp med and a valium they prescribe bp still elevates on me.

I'm back, made it through the dentist torture.:D Glad it's behind me now, I had three last fillings. BP was 137/97 and 98 pulse, so they didn't check it a second time this time just went to work on me. Not a fan of Dentists at all.:)

Planted this a couple of days ago with collards, mustards, broccoli, kale, and lettuce.

Vehicles are still going well, and I feel like I have accomplished a little, but still have a lot to do. :)

Mary they could've stuck the QTip in my eye at that point. I was having trouble breathing from so much congestion in my lungs. I always wait till last minute to go to er. I had said they will not stick anything up my nose. But I was wrong.

Today turned into a cleaning day around here, we vacuumed and mopped the whole downstairs, eventually, we will get back upstairs, arranging everything. Of course, fed animals and stuff like that too. Have the paint for the interior and exterior and for the porch and inside the house. Got to get out there and crank and run the boat motor for a while, maybe tomorrow. Things haven't slowed down around here. But the weirdest thing today was our neighbor phoned us today and said his wife had passed, we had just talked to her not more than three days ago while we were drinking wine and playing music, I even played her a song while Marie held the phone so she could hear it, we knew her for 25 years now, and it was a real shock to us, she was 69 yo. Just goes to show none of us are promised tomorrow. :(

After several days of rain, and facing snow that is likely to descend upon us soon, there were a lot of things that I needed to do today, such as rake the leaves so that I can add them to the outdoor compost pile, disconnect the outdoor water hose and cover the spigot so that it doesn't freeze, and move a few things away from the house so that I can more easily shovel throughout the winter. Additionally, I have several boxes of stuff to move to the storage space, and I promised Michelle that I'd finish cleaning out the porch. It was my idea but now that I've started, she's nagging me to finish it.

I'd also like to put together an outdoor house that I bought for whichever of the feral cats might want to try it. However, I would have to build either a temporary or permanent structure over the top of it or it will become inundated by snow. Plus, I have a mini trampoline that I bought a month or so ago, which is still in the box.

That's just the start of it, and therein lies the problem. I didn't do any of it.

I'm not sure which bothers me the most, on days like that, when I get nothing done, and it dwells in my mind, that I know I wasted the whole day or the days where I worked really hard and I am super tired afterward.

I have a lot to tackle but I do have to think things over first.
If I go out today and only do half of what I need to do then I’ll have something to do on another day when there’s nothing to do.

    Yup….works for me!

It isn't a time when there is nothing to do here. Something will break if nothing else needs fixing.
