Update - drops for eyes, um idk taking him to vet tomorrow- again. Not sure if it is the drops, or the fact his allergy shot has worn off but eyes looking bad again. The licky pads are, um ok. Adhere well, but harder to clean off even if cleaned in dishwasher. But will keep something for him to do.

Sorry Radar is having eye problems, poor little fellow. I don't understand why so many dogs have allergy problems these days. I've never heard of "licky pads"... what on earth is that?

@Beth Gallagher for dogs who lick everything and everybody. Thought it would keep him from licking the hid off his paws You put peanut butter or cheese, or anything smearable dogs like .. they spend time licking it off.

You can give dogs Zyrtec or the generic equivalent. Benadryl also works.

Benadryl seems to be fairly safe even in relatively high doses, but it does make dogs sleepy, which is not generally desired.

I wouldn't bother unless you made one on a large scale for mass drying of things like tomatoes. The big home made ones I've seen are like long greenhouse or coldframes with fans at one or both ends and screen shelves the full length. You then have to rotate the screens to even out the process. I tried one when we lived in North Carolina and it worked okay but was labor intensive. In a survival situation, maybe it would be good. The fans could be run from solar panels.

If he has gut issues, you can split the tablets or, as I do, crush the tablet and mix it with a few teaspoons of his favorite food to make sure he consumes it all. The experts recommend fish oil for dogs with allergies, but my dog can't tolerate fats.

I thought I'd throw this eBay tip out there...

Some time ago I was shopping for something (I forget what), and I added a Buy It Now item to my Watchlist and the Seller contacted me with a better deal...apparently they get notification when someone is Watching one of their items. So recently I've been looking for parts to repair something and I thought I'd try it again. This morning I added a Buy It Now item to my Watchlist and the Seller sent me an email with a better price. I actually just want bits & pieces of what he's selling, and we're in the process of negotiating price & shipping.

I forgot to add that I try to use a canned food with gravy, then I add a bit of water to make sure there is enough moisture to dissolve the tablet powder.

We're in a war with chipmunks, so I ordered two of these to compliment my other trap.

You may recall the chipmunks, like squirrels, can carry plague. You don't want these anywhere near your domicile. Chipmunks are essentially rats with nice clothing.
