In our modern society when most people’s needs are being met, charity and compassion becomes possible.

Charity is a good thing if its for the right reasons. Crininal funded churches are not charity. Many of our churches now help bring in cartel criminals.

I haven't seen one imancipated person coming across our borders yet. Most are healthy looking young men and dressed well with a woman or child thrown into the photo for 'effects'.

The catch, though, is sometimes it can backfire.
I don't know how widespread it is, but I'm referring to con-artists who believe they're entitled to other people's resources when they're not in need at all. I mean individuals who present themselves as hungry, flat-broke, etc., when they aren't, just to sucker people into giving them free stuff.

Since George Carlin says pretty much word for word what I think, I'll just share this quote:

“We're so self-important. So arrogant. Everybody's going to save something now. Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save the snails. And the supreme arrogance? Save the planet! Are these people kidding? Save the planet? We don't even know how to take care of ourselves; we haven't learned how to care for one another. We're gonna save the fuckin' planet? . . . And, by the way, there's nothing wrong with the planet in the first place. The planet is fine. The people are fucked! Compared with the people, the planet is doin' great. It's been here over four billion years . . . The planet isn't goin' anywhere, folks. We are! We're goin' away. Pack your shit, we're goin' away. And we won't leave much of a trace. Thank God for that. Nothing left. Maybe a little Styrofoam. The planet will be here, and we'll be gone. Another failed mutation; another closed-end biological mistake.” ~ George Carlin

Is it their needs or their demand for wants that are being met?
No incentive to work in this nation anymore. I remember in the 50s early 60s government cheese but now they get cell phones, free apt.s even hotels and more.

I really wish I knew what was going on, but shootings/killings are really going wild in America. Really seems like they are happening on a daily basis now.
Medical Office shooting/killings, domestic violence shooting/killings at a church and a shooting at a funeral. The National Guard is being requested in Baltimore, due to all of the violence. Will Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and some other big cities be next to have the National Guard patrolling streets?

This is what happens--in part--when the state's attorneys say (1) they hate the cops, and (2) they are not gonna enforce the laws. Of course, people have to be motivated to be violent in the first place.

But for the most part, this is not a nationwide issue. It's the usual pockets of crime that have been unleashed by attorneys put in place by George Soros money to destroy this nation.

Moore came up with a documentary years ago about Columbine, and he said it's not so much proliferation of firearms that's causing it but news that makes them frightened: when they hear about crime rates going up, they buy firearms.

Also, I read elsewhere that because people have more money then they become more obsessed with consumer goods and entertainment lifestyles, which makes them spend unnecessarily, especially on very expensive things. On top of that, the pressure to be more productive and to earn a lot also leads to problems like drinking, smoking, drug use, etc.

Ralf, what the heck is your Avatar????

Anyway, there are lots and lots of folks out there that earn a lot and don't have the problems you mentioned.

Think back to the fifties although it wasn't Father knows best for everyone. Then came 'women's lib' which I thought was nuts because it would basically break up the family. It did getting two incomes. Trying to have everything is all well and good but the stress to keep up with the Jonses is a killer. Then we had to take God out of everything. Then we had to take the backing out of our money.
Then the media magnified everything that could bring fear to everyone. It glorified lawlessness.
Then we wanted to get rid of the police.
Oops, God is Back. Biden takes the name in vain in almost every speech....
