Ever known someone that you said the word "no", or "no, thanks" (if you're that polite) to and they still did what you told them not to? How do you feel when that happens?

Now, there are those that have/had a spouse that keeps/kept saying "no" to many things. My SIL was married to such a man and he was a Pastor! After he passed away, she doesn't like hearing the word "no" for anything and, many times, will do exactly what she wants to.

Everyone loves hearing the word "yes", but, sometimes, the word "no" has to be said.

In the Navy, I always had to say "yes, Sir" or "no, Sir" to an Officer. When I was in, there were no women on ships, so saying "yes, Ma'am", "no, Ma'am" just wasn't there. In either saying "yes, Sir" or "no, Sir" could get a sailor in trouble. I found that out very quickly (LOL).

I think most people would do well to learn to say "no" to things that are wrong.

Very true, Ken, but............that most definitely isn't the world we live in. Very unfortunate.
