Of course once it was no longer against the law to be a Commie in this country, they let it all hang out. Not so back in my younger days. There were signs and when I asked a boyfriend of mine back in 1954 outright if he was a Communist as he was a union organizer at the time, he got all huffy and said of course he wasn't. I eventually learned as time went on, he was apolitical and it was just a job to him. He later became an executive with Hana Barbarra.
If the US basic system is so bad why does everyone in the world want to live there? Why does everyone living in the socialist/communist countries want to leave? Sometimes the obvious is the answer.
A Russian lady who grew up in Moscow with 2 little children moved in next door to me about 6 weeks ago. I knew she was Russian because she has the word RUSSIAN on her Va. license tag. She loves the USA, and a very nice young lady. I want to ask her a lot of questions, but I'll wait for the right time. She is training to become a nurse, and of course her husband is American. I'm assuming he met and married her while stationed there in the military, but I don't know yet.
