I think as time goes on a majority of these fires will be proven arson. I don't believe energy beams had anything to do with Oregon fires.
@Ken Anderson Without a fast-moving wind, the green grass and trees would show signs of burning. The only explanation is what our fire chief saw with his own eyes. The fire moving over 60 MPH burned the dry grass but at a distance, you cannot see any damage to the sagebrush. Up close you can see very light signs. The fairly new Catapeller doesn't show signs that fire even touched it unless close inspected. Had it been older with lots of grease on it, the story would be different. I have been through so many fires and never have I seen a fire moving so fast it wouldn't even blacken sagebrush or damage paint on a steel fence post. It is documented that this particular fire was from a cigarette thrown in dry grass.

I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but it would be very unusual. Given that none of the homes were spared, I'd think it couldn't have been moving that quickly.

Arson fires usually will not melt metal and the fires what wiped out houses melted aluminum rims on cars. That goes far beyond anything we know.

Northern east coast skies are hazy from smoke carried aloft.

This is apparently the guy that had the Molotov cocktail and started more fires after he was released.

With all respect, I do not understand this statement. Why would a non-arson fire burn hotter than an arson fire? The rims on a vehicle are melted or distorted by the heat from the gas and oil which produces a much hotter heat than a wood structure burning. Whether it was from the vehicle overheating, a wildfire, or deliberately set, has no bearing on the heat of the fire. Fires depend on wind speed, humidity, and type of fuel. Gas and oil-fueled fire with a 50 MPH wind are like a torch. The same science applies here as it does to the blacksmith forge. The use of billows to push a blast of air over the coals increases heat immensely.

Green trees and grass are poor fuel, however, a very slow fire will dry out the grass and trees ahead of it and therefore burn it. A fast-moving fire will not have time to dry and ignite green vegetation. There is no mystery to the wildfires of the west. It is all about all the fuel that is left because of unscientific environmentalism. The winds and dryness in the west are nothing new. Blaming such on man-caused climate change is like blaming the Americans Indians for the 1930 Oklahoma Dust Bowl.

When you leave a forest full of old huge dry trees for wildlife refuge or leave vast acres of rangeland ungrazed for the deer and antelope that eat little of it and the grass is two feet tall or taller and it gets dry by late July and seriously dry by Sept., then a 5-year-old kid with a cheap magnifying glass studying a rare western bisexual spotted humpback ground tick, can start a fire and when the wind picks up, it moves with the speed of the wind. All of these western wildfires that are hard to control are wind-driven. A 20 MPH moving fire is a hard one to control, so when it moves at 50 or more, then it is going to cause mass destruction. No mystery what a lit bottle full of gasoline thrown into dry grass can do. That burning bottle of gas is one hot fire. Then fireworks present all kinds of possibilities. Launch a firebomb from one location to another.

Given the political situation in the USA, I have not one doubt that nearly all the fires are arson and by those that want mass destruction thinking somehow they will rule once the people bow in submission. Ask yourself this. Is it a strange unexplainable phenomenon that these fires stop at the Canadian border? If these fires are caused by satellites or UFO's shooting lasers or super high-frequency radio beams, why don't they start fires in Canada?

    Dunno Martin.
A fire and in particular a forest fire with only a height of a meter or so can reach up to around 1,500 degrees. A lot depends on what is being burned and how much and type of stoking is being provided.

Note: I’m not agreeing one way or the other but just providing some facts of interest.

Not trying to answer for Martin, but arson fires often use an accelerant.

Also, I've fought brush fires that were furious, and it didn't matter if the brush was green, brown, or something in between. Dry wood or grass is easier to get started but once the fire begins, everything in its path usually burns.

The U.S has a lot of enemies and I would not be surprised if it was foreign agents striking our Achilles heels wherever possible and not just on the internet.

Here is the video for that , in case someone can’t see the Twitter tweet.

While it appears that most of the fires that are being set are happening from people literally going down the highways and main roads and starting fires, some of the fires do seem like they could be caused by a DEW being used and directed at homes as targets, or just to start fires in remote areas.
Since Antifa and BLM has been setting fires in a similar fashion (Molotov cocktails) in the cities where they have been rioting, they would probably be some of the first suspects; but authorities can’t say that until they have proof of it. Pictures of antifa posing as firefighters and carrying gas cans and chainsaws to set fires does not help their credibility.
Trump told California that they needed to clean up the forest and do a better job of managing it, to help prevent these fires, and he said that two years ago.
In places where they leave the land untended for wildlife, they are unintentionally setting up a scene to have forest fires that kill these very animals they want to protect.
Letting livestock graze in the grasslands, and selective logging being done in the timberlands would make a whole lot of difference.

Did you know? .... That fire generates winds of its own that are as much as 10 times faster than the ambient wind. As we have seen here in the west, a fire moving 100 mph may have been started in a 10 mph wind.

We're getting hazy skies and a smell of something burning here in Maine, which is being attributed to the fires on the West Coast. I thought someone was burning trash somewhere around here, but the newspapers are telling us it's from the West Coast fires. I want California to pay reparations. The state with the most restrictive environmental regulations in the country is polluting the entire country right now.
