Two female pit crew members making history in Daytona Cup race! At the Coke Zero Sugar 400, both an African-American girl and a White girl were in the pit changing tires for one of the drivers. The black girl had all kinds press and NASCAR watching her, since NASCAR has always been a predominately White sport with males. Danica Patrick made history, being the only girl driver to race in NASCAR, but had to quit. NASCAR has a new diversity program going on that the young black girl got involved with. She hopes that more people, of her race, will get involved with the sport and that more women will as well. As for me, I'd love to see a black male or female NASCAR driver AND more women joining pit crews. Women have quickly progressed more and more in life and I think that terrific! All I can say is...….."You GO ladies!!"
NASCAR making history again ! Our president is the Grand Marshal of the Daytona 500 NASCAR race this afternoon, and will make a lap around the track in “The Beast” (his official Limo), and then announce the start of the race. He also buzzed the racetrack before landing with Airforce One, and you can hear the crowd roaring as the President’s plane approaches. I am guessing that this might be one of the most watched car races in a long time ! It is live on YouTube also. Watch the President flying over the racetrack.......
Here is President Trump in The Beast, making his lap around the racetrack before starting the race as the Grand Marshal.
We watched the President and First Lady standing at Daytona. It was just so, so awesome! And, to see him and First Lady, in President limo go around the track, again...…..awesome! Track is being dried out right now, but will continue watching. There are more drivers, still driving, that we have known for numerous years, than we thought there would be. Although, Kyle Bush is no longer with M & M candy and Lowe's is no longer with NASCAR, but Jimmie Johnson still is. This very well may be Jimmie's last Daytona 500 race.
I have a flaming liberal friend who lives a few miles from Daytona Speedway. She's probably seething today, haha.
Well, your wish has been granted. There's an African-American driver in the race today - Bubba Wallace. He's not even the first one, either.
Most of you have probably heard about one of the Daytona 500 drivers being in a horrible fiery crash, and almost being killed. the latest word is that he is in serious condition at the hospital, but is expected to live and recover. People all over are praying for him, and all o f the NASCAR fans are devastated. Ryan Newman was in the lead just seconds before he was bumped by one of the other cars and sent into a spin and crash against the walls of the speedway.
This is hard to believe , but while everyone is praying for Ryan to recover, supporters of Pete Buttegeig are saying that Ryan deserved the crash because he was a Trump supporter . I don’t care who a person supports as a political candidate, no one should be happy about a tragedy like this ! !
People like that have to be mentally sick. Their hatred has consumed their minds and threatens their souls.
Not a NASCAR fan, so you'll have to explain this to me (an other non-fans). Thanks. And, what is the final outcome of the great saga of Mrs Cody and her job search? Not really in the mood to read 18 pages to find out.
Hello, My reference was about Dale Earnhardt Sr the driver of the black number 3 Chevrolet killed in the Daytona 500
