Surgery went well this morning at 7:45. I was pretty much "awake" and could converse with the surgeon during the operation.

Only thing that REALLY hurt (so far, at least) was getting a needle stuck in under my lower eyelid and getting what felt like acid injected (some kind of "nerve block"). Coming home, it was weird to feel the whole upper right quadrant of my head (forehead, top of my head, temple) TOTALLY dead to the touch.

Now, only time will tell if it worked.

Pit Pit and more Pits. Looks like all I have forward to is spending more money, more doctors and more opening of accts that require another password.
My sleep study test of course cant be in any of the local facilities here. I can go pick up the machine do the home test then return the machine next day.
Still the traffic alone is enough to frazzle me ends. I scheduled me to pick up machine 2/13. This is the day after my other Special appointment at endo doctor, because I need a special root canal!
I am not a happy camper. :( I could rant more but want...lolo no use everyone being miserable:cool:

@Mary Robi -- Glad it's over and I hope it was a success! Take care.

@Gloria Mitchell -- Aw, sorry to hear that you're having more tests and a root canal! Seems like when it rains, it pours.

There must be a class in med school called "Lies for Patients 101" in which they learn the following:

Statement: "This might be a little painful.
Translation: "This is going to really hurt."

Statement: "Now you'll feel a little pinch."
Translation: "This is going to really hurt."

Statement: "You'll experience a little pressure."
Translation: "This is going to really hurt."

Statement: "Of course, Medicare will cover this fully."
Translation: "This is going to really hurt......your wallet."

    Peak:
Expensive passport photo for 27 bucks (also available for 100 bucks or more) of a culprit being caught speeding at 19 mph when only 12.4 mph were allowed. I was daydreaming about SOC :D and envisioning the most beautiful things and then bang.

Novelty: There's hardly any other place on earth where the speed limit is 12.4 mph. There's not even a standard traffic sign for it. The lowest standard speed limit is 18.6 mph.
I ran into a stationary speed trap put in place just recently. I'd read about it but thought to myself that I wasn't very likely ever to drive there anyway. But then there was a detour and I did and was taken entirely by surprise. The admin guy in charge said in an interview the speed camera proved to be "highly profitable." Well, I like donations and make them regularly. The city needs them badly.

    Pit: deep.................

Pits last nite when my son rang home and asked us to bring some doggie toilet pads to my wife's parents place. Apparently my 93 year old FIL had collapsed and hurt his leg with some incontinence added. We spent the next hours cleaning up the mess before my son and BIL took him to hospital as a precaution. Still waiting on test results.

This kind of thing happens here at Assisted Living from time to time and since I am 85 with unstable legs it could happen to me.

Sorry, i'm a bit behind on things....Pits - sad to hear of all of your health issues many of you are having to face, i'm sure if we could snap our fingers, many things wouldn't happen, or better in an instant, hope all your results are positive in coming....Peak - i'm considering myself very fortunate in not faced with so much like some others, my joint and osteo issues can be controlled in a lot of ways, and so can my mental wellness.... I hope for all of you your recoveries are positive and the best for you.
