My temp. is always way below 98.6 unless I know I have a fever. Most of the time 97.3 to 97.5. Dr. says that's OK. This evening I feel hot. Temp. reads 98.6. Now, do I have a fever, or not? Frank
Normal body temperature is 36 degrees Celsius or 98.2 degrees Fahrenheit, but your body is capable of changing the temperature according to different seasons and circumstances. Your normal body temperature will keep changing throughout the day – you can notice a change of up to 1°F throughout the day, which usually depends on how active you are. You may be noticing fluctuations in your body temperature due to hormonal changes. ??????? Your temperature may fluctuate due to a change in your circadian rhythms. The lowest temperature occurs nearly 2 hours before you wake up. ….. @Frank Sanoica , you got circadian rhythm??????
@Shirley Martin I read your informative post, but couldn't figure out why @Frank Sanoica would have a Canadian rhythm. Then I read it a second time. My temperature runs a degree or two UNDER normal. I'm cold blooded.
In more than 20 years as a paramedic, and more than forty years of checking my own temperature from time to time, I have learned that most people have a body temperature of 98.7, although minor fluctuations are nothing to worry about. Anything from 97 to 99 is within normal ranges, but most people are in the upper part of that range. Temperatures above that might indicate an infection or fever, while temperatures below that are more worrisome. The highest I've seen was 104, but that was a very sick child.
@Shirley Martin Yeah, I got PLENTY of them....... To confirm my lowest, how do I do it still asleep? To many years confined in that brass urn....... Frank
Frank, have you been on that menopause thread again? If so, maybe you’re have a case of sympathy menopause similar to the sympathy pregnancies some men have. Ya know....hot flashes and all that stuff.
