Although I still have an occasional cup of coffee despite never having been a big coffee drinker I have now discovered K Cup Hot Chocolate for my get out of bed morning beverage. It's quite good.
A pot of coffee. Black. If it weren’t for the fact that the coffee would cool, I would be better off putting the cup in the cupboard and drinking directly from the pot.
@Bobby Cole They are now hard to find, but if you can find a glass insulated thermos from Coleman, you can keep almost a half a pot of coffee in it and it stays hot. I'm serious about my coffee too. I hated going to half caff, but have gotten somewhat used to it.
Used to be coffee but that doesn’t go well with anxiety. Nowadays it’s a clear ensure....trying to put on weight.
Coffee. Black. One pot in the morning, one after my round with Sari. Shaken but not stirred. Then I'm ready for the day.
It is quite possible that what you lost was muscle weight when you were sick and not able to go to Curves and exercise like you have been doing. If you look at the ingredient label for the Ensure, you will see that it is mostly sugar-water and very little protein, which is needed to help re-build your muscles. You might want to try one of the actual protein drinks instead, where the main ingredient isn’t mostly sugar and water, and there is a significant amount of actual protein. You could make Koolaid a lot cheaper than that Ensure, and it would probably do about the same thing.
We seldom have any but I like a glass of orange juice or grapefruit juice before moving on to coffee.
I know the clear ensure is mostly sugar but I have trouble drinking thicker drinks....I can’t do the protein drinks at all. Anything that is about the consistency of milk turns me off...
