I guess there were complaints because they canceled our next scheduled snowstorm, and are projecting rain instead. I am glad that the spring lobby was more powerful than the continued winter one.

We were supposed to get snow this morning, but it is 34 F. and raining instead, although there are a few flakes mixed in with the rain. At least it will suppress the wildfire danger for a few days.

After three days of rain and temperatures in the seventies, we're actually getting some bare spots in our yard now.

We are supposed to get 2-5 inches of snow tonight...we'll see. The temp is dropping and it is lightly raining now. I doubt it will stay long if it does fall.

In checking the forecast of all three of my cities in Colorado, sure looks like Spring has sprung there. Normal for April is 60/62 and they have been having some daily temps in the mid 70's. No wonder all of the lakes/boat ramps along the Front Range are open. However, snow can return all the way up to Mother's Day Weekend next month.

We got about 1/2 inch of snow last night, and it is still snowing a bit, but the temp is right at freezing, so it will be gone by tonight. Probably enough to make the roads a little slippery, and the back roads muddy, but not much of an issue here. Again, the moisture will keep the wildfire danger down.

Been a glorious sunny day here today, and set to get warmer from now on...temps around the low 70's for the Easter Weekend

Nice here again today, sunny and warm; but already they are putting warnings on the news of possible tornadoes by tomorrow night. Usually , they either go north of Huntsville, or south of us, for some reason, maybe how the wind flows go through the hills and valley here.
That is the bad thing with a tornado, you just do not know if you are going to have one until it happens, unlike most storms where you have some kid of forewarning.
With a tornado, they can forecast the possibility, but sometimes we do not even get rain or thunder because the storms go around us, but we always have to be prepared in case one does touch down near here.

It is still snowing here, and, although we don't have much accumulation, much of the ground is still covered. @Yvonne Smith did your daughter get much snow in Palmer? I heard on the radio that parts of Palmer got as much as nine inches. It is now supposed to snow through the weekend. Happy Easter!

Except where the plow has been piling it up, our snow is mostly gone.

Ours was too, but now there is a light covering everywhere and the temp is just above freezing here. I set up the heater in the little greenhouse and plan to move the more frost-resistant stuff out there. I took the plow off the tractor just before it snowed, but didn't need it anyway. My wife's car still has winter tires on and I wanted to change them but hadn't yet...good thing. The good thing about a light covering of snow is that it makes the night brighter if there is a moon.

It is snowing again and is now supposed to continue for the next week. Ah, I guess winter wasn't over after all.

My Facebook memories reminded me that five years ago today, it was snowing in Millinocket. Here we are, five years later, and it's not snowing in Millinocket. That just might be proof of global warming.

I "almost" hate to post this, since the creator obviously needs spell-check on his meme generator.
