My nephews, Mike at left, Dan at right, ages 50 and 54, respectively. I knew them much better years back, before the lives of all of us became embroiled convolutely due to our dysfunctional family.

I have been in Sedona. The nephews look normal enough. For that matter, I do to. Maybe it is the area.

In later years, perhaps 80s or later, actress Jane Russell was known to live in Sedona. We can thank Howard Hughes for "discovering" her, for his film, "The Outlaw", 1943. The marquis poster:

    Her home was here:

Now that I didn't know or if I did it has long been forgotten, all those facts about Ms Russell. Howard Hughes may have discovered Jane Russell in 1943 but I discovered her in 1947 at the Gem Theater in Wichita Falls, TX. That was the year I moved back to Wichita Falls from our rambling around west Texas and New Mexico towns in the oil patch. I might have discovered Ms Russell sooner but in those years in the church my family belonged to going to the movie theater was a sin and members of that denomination didn't attend the movies since they were thought to be instruments of the devil. Had I been a member of another church or a member of none, I'm sure I would have discovered her earlier for she was very discoverable and much appreciated and stirred the fancy of many young men.

I have heard many times that Howard Hughes picked his actresses based upon their, er......chests. He also dated many of Hollywood's most gorgeous women, but shunned public interest in himself or his enterprises, and despised governmental control, though he made lots of dough fulfilling government contracts.

He insisted on doing many things himself: he HAD to know how/why things worked as they did. Once, while shooting a scene of one of his movies, the camera fouled up. He sent everyone home. Next morning, when they returned to work, they found him still there. He had torn the camera apart, ascertained how to remedy the trouble, and was ready to roll!

I've read Hughes was a controlling personality. BTW, I like your signature. If it comes any closer to me I'm going to capture it, corral it, and brand it: BBReboso. Everyone here abouts knows my brands. Come Monday morning I'll register it at the courthouse as one of my own brands.
