Chrissy Cross has asked me to let y'all know that she is experiencing acute anxiety right now. Your prayers and encouraging thoughts, etc. would be very much appreciated by her at this time.

She woke up one morning recently and experienced a vision problem with one of her eyes. When she looks at a sentence the words get kind of wavy and since this is something she never experienced before it kicked her anxiety levels up and she is worried about going blind.

She sees her eye Doctor every 3 months and has an appointment in November. She has called the Office and told them what is going on and they feel that there is no reason to see her any earlier than her regular appointment. Although I have also tried reassuring her...she just can't shake the acute anxiety she feels and is having a really tough time right now.

She is going to see her Counselor today and I hope that will help relieve some of the anxiety she is feeling. I hope our prayers, etc. will also help.

Anxiety can get the best of those who experience it at times, and this is that time for Chrissy Cross. I hope you will let her know you are sending love, prayers, and good thoughts her way today.

    Thanks Babs! ❤️

Everything was going along great, then one day I closed my right eye and words had a slight wave to them...not much but enough.

The only thing I saw as a reason was macular degeneration and I can't stop thinking about it.

My stomach is in knots and I'm having troubling eating...lost 3 lbs.

    I'm so miserable...just feel like crying. :(

There's no change in my vision with both eyes open.

I do hav ehigh pressure in my eyes which is controlled by prescription eye drops...that's why I see my ophthalmologist every 3 months.

Also cataracts but not too bad yet.

Cataracts? I have Laser Cataract Surgery coming up Oct 3rd, and, even though I know in my mind that I need it, in some ways it still scares me.
My vision is, while not totally white, there is definitely white in my vision. I can still see to drive, but the vision is getting worse. Am now having my wife drive at times.

My cataracts just bother me at night....it's the darn slight wave in a sentence with my right eye that has me panicking.

I'm dreading the time I need cataract surgery but this has me thinking I'm going to go blind. :(

Every day I promise myself not to check but I do, can't help it and then I get a panic attack.

    Forcing myself to eat ...

What do you mean by "white in your vision"?

I just noticed that the wave is mostly in the smallest print...if I enlarge the words, I barely notice a wave.

    Yep...checking again....

Online, ask "what are cataracts?". From what I've read and been told, your eye becomes clouded (white). It's progressive type thing.

Thanks Patsy, you've helped me thru some tough days. :)

I just need to be hugged and told it's going to be okay....and most importantly I need to believe it.

    Therein lies my problem. :(

I know what cataracts are..I have them...maybe just not bad enough yet to see white spots.

I do get blinded in the bright sun...and see halos at night driving....sometimes have trouble when I'm looking at black on black...distinguishing a word on a piece of equipment that's same in color.

Does sound like something else. My cataracts started forming a few years ago, but at that time, my eye doctor told me not to worry about it. At the end of last year, after an eye exam and new glasses, I started noticing I couldn't read things distant. It wasn't the new glasses, it was the cataracts had gotten worse. In fact, my eye doctor told me that the prescription lenses I had in the glasses, were the best I could get. So, he referred me to a eye consultation place where my eyes were checked out by a eye surgeon. She told me that I needed cataract surgery in both eyes, but that left eye was the worse. So, laser cataract surgery it's going to be.

Well, with that, now it does sound like cataracts. But, I'm not an eye doctor. Some how, some way, get them checked.
