    I found this quite interesting. The Crime Rate is Crimes per 1,000 population. Detroit did not surprise me, but Pueblo, for example, did. Greatest number of murders: Detroit. Starting at 100, the least crime-ridden, to #1, the most, I've compiled 100, 80, 60, 40, 20, 10, 5, & 1. The entire list is here: https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/blog/top100dangerous

    I done some research on Jacksonville, FL and found out just how bad their crime stats are and have been. We've been living here since 2009, but definitely wouldn't have moved here if we would have done the right thing in the first place...…….research the area. Where we want to move to, in northern Colorado, literally has no crime compared to here.

    I don't see Chicago on the list. Nor Durham, NC. They have shootings and killings there every weekend and often during the week. They say it is mostly gang killings.

    @Shirley Martin
    Of course you don't, for their stats failed to make the top 100 list they compiled. I think.

    Keep in mind that this is a crimes list, not a murders list. I think Chicago and Baltimore would both score higher on murders.
