When the state does a background check, it’s done through the FBI.

I don't really think it was the higher echelons that failed. When a tip goes to them, it is likely seen by someone who is lower down the ladder. That person or persons should report a viable threat to his superiors. Whoever is responsible, I think they should be fired.

I do fault them for not finding him from the YouTube report. With all the agents and technology they have available, they will never convince me that they couldn't find him.

High school teens are in Tallahassee, Florida (State Capital) to demand law changes for assault rifles, but are getting no where. The teens are going to do a March, with local teens, but, I feel, it's a waste of time. Seriously, seriously doubt laws will be changed to ban assault rifles. Just the way it's been and will continue that way.

Too bad....I feel very strongly about this last school shooting....I just can't stop thinking that it could happen at one of my grandsons schools...scares me.

Laws that are a.ready there should be followed and anyone not doing their job should be fired. Any fake threat should be checked out and then the person that did it ...serve some time in jail or pay a fine.

Everyone that dropped the ball in a shooting should be punished.

I still feel that these type of weapons that can kill quickly should be banned.

    What is their purpose??

This was on my FB feed this morning....Cal Poly is the university my oldest grandson attends. :(

It's probably a hoax and if it is....they should punish the person who started it.

We (wife/I) 100% agree with you on this. There is absolutely no need for any type military assault rifle. We have been to our local sporting good store and store that specializes in firearms and these assault rifles are definitely on display for sale. No need for them to be sold........end of story.
But, thing is, so, so many men in their late teens and up own and shoot these, it's unbelievable. Other than a target range, where else would a person use one of these.........to do a crime/killing is all I can think of. Absolutely not needed nor should be owned/used. These rifles are really frightening!!
