Don't know if folks across the water know but 2018 is both the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Air Force, in which I am proud to say I spent almost a third of my life.

British people have a right to be proud.

The Royal Air Force (RAF) is the United Kingdom's aerial warfare force. Formed towards the end of the First World War on 1 April 1918, it is the oldest independent air force in the world
The RAF describes its mission statement as "... [to provide] An agile, adaptable and capable Air Force that, person for person, is second to none, and that makes a decisive air power contribution in support of the UK Defense Mission".
    Y'all did good. :D

I don't remember much about WWI;)
