Seems like ages since I last logged in here but I see familiar faces and some new ones too.

Life got in the way for awhile, sold a home, then bought a seasonal trailer rather than live in the car as the cat nixed that idea....he does like his comfort.

The new village was so small and so remote there was no internet or phone unless you drove to a library 20 miles away and were lucky enough to be able to use a computer for their 1 hour time frame. Yikes! talk about withdrawal. Wine and new friends helped o_O

Then moved again to original village but this time to a temporary apartment, will stay here till spring and then go back to the seasonal where I have been promised that something in the way of internet is coming. After that really gotta find something permanent to land.

And in all this moving I fell at a grocery store and tore a tendon to the rotator cuff  That happened the same day the house sold but the papers had already been signed so no getting out of it. Rehab now has been going on for months, sort of on the mend.....

.....and here I am, glad to be back :) And that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Hey lee....nice to see you again....sounds like you've been through the mill the last few months..

I know what it's like to be without internet and phone, having none in the mountains where my daughter lives in Spain.. unless the wind is blowing in the right direction lol

Sorry to hear about the rotator cuff injury but you won't believe this that makes 3 of us on here suffering from the same thing...

Me (both shoulders)...and it's very debilitating.. hard to drive or sleep, or even wash my hair...so I feel for you..

I hope that you manage to get settled in the spring again with decent internet..., is it far from where you originally lived?

I am glad to see you back again, but it sounds like life has been a struggle for the last few months for you. It is good that you are finally in a place where you can have internet again, and hopefully you will be able to have it available if you move back out to the travel trailer next spring.
Moving is hard under any conditions, but with the rotator cuff injury, it would make it much more difficult.
I remember having to move one time when my knee was really bad, and I was on crutches, and trying to haul stuff out to the car, and it was a slow and painful process.
Hopefully, the healing process goes well for you.

Holly....3 of us here with the cuff thing going on....we should apply to Guinness Records for the most on an internet forum.

Chrissy....will see you here more often now....a lot more often.

Yvonne...I'll let you in on a little secret. Having gift cards available for the beer store made moving in a breeze....you know guys and beer

    Gloria....thanks for the kind thought.

We certainly would not try to get you to alter it, unless that might ease your pain! :)

Steve, I hope it does not come down to that for me but I am glad it worked out for you. Going off topic here.... I do have 75% of my mobility back now but cannot put the arm to the back of me. Therapist thinks because of this that frozen shoulder may be setting in and doctor wants me to try cortisone shots but I am leery about this.

Ive been going to therapy for frozen shoulder or arm, @Missy Lee I got some mobility back in my arm but it's not complete.

Since insurance is only paying for 6 more sessions, I doubt it will ever be normal....I still can't reach up my back, only a little higher than my waist.

    I have tendinitis.

Guess it is a common injury Chrissy. What really gets to me is that I went back to the same store where I fell. Same employee was once again washing the floor, no warning sign, no cones. She never has learned.

I get mad as the week before this happened I was up on a 10 foot ladder repairing the flashing on the carport, was quite active and now grrrrr

Hope you got something from the store....that should have taught that employee a lesson...very surprised that nothing's changed.

Mine wasn't even an injury, have no idea why my left arm froze, maybe because my left shoulder hurts and I tended not to use it.

Or pulled something. It happened after driving to my daughter's. It's a gated community and I was too far from the keypad that I have to put In her code number, instead of getting out of the car I reached or tried to and do remember letting out a scream in pain!

    But...who knows!

    Sorry for going off topic...

Hi and welcome back @Missy Lee. It’s good to have you back, and I hope we can help make your recuperating time pass quickly. :)

I went throught several cortisone shots for the arthritis in my shoulders and spine almost 20 years ago. They didn’t help me, but I know others that only have good things to say about them.

I had a cortisone shot and it only lasted for about 6 weeks, and then it was much worse than before..
I had deterioration of the ball and socket in the right shoulder, and the only option was a replacement..
today I have almost 95% of the use of the arm and shoulder.. I have been in physiotherapy since the middle of July twice a week every week, but now I think I am almost finished with physio.. I have a bit more strength to build up but that I can do on my own at home..
The physio cost me absolutely nothing as it is covered by our health care system.. Should I need more later, I will go and get more physio but I think it is enough..
