'The judge previously said the case against Jones was “weak, at best” and that authorities withheld evidence that could have exonerated Jones decades ago'. I sincerely hope the man sues for as much as he possibly can get. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...rned-nurse-kidnapping-louisiana-a8055546.html
OH Dear God.... his whole adult life stolen from him....if it's proven without doubt the prosecutor withheld evidence that would have shown this man was innocent he should replace that man in his prison cell... and that goes for all prosecutors who do this, because it's far from an isolated case.. I watched a case about a young white guy called Guy Heinze who was accused of bludgeoning 8 members of his family in a tiny trailer in the American south ..yet no near neighbours heard a thing, and the people who died were strong young people including his father who put up a fight , yet there was no evidence to tie Guy to the crime except a tiny spot of blood on his pants after he'd been in the blood soaked trailer ...the evidence was so weak it was clear he couldn't have done it... at one point the prosecution boasted they'd ''never lost a case''. and the jury were told that they had to bring in a 100% verdict against him before the judge could convict , so when one jury member during deliberations refused to find him guilty, the court replaced him with someone who would , .... and Mr Heinze was jailed for life without parole... Shocking beyond belief... and I suspect in another 40 years someone somewhere will say the same about him as they have about Mr Jones
"......authorities withheld evidence that could have exonerated Jones decades ago'." Yet another example illustrating why my disdain for "public servants" usurping privilege to ensure their own perpetuity irks my temperament very, very negatively. Frank
