I did not come online for a bit because the internet connection I had available was so undependable. Today I had Comcast installed so now I can get online whenever I want. Not much has been going on here, mostly just doing some errands and lazing around the apartment. Tomorrow I am going to go to the License Dept and get a non drivers id. Since I have not driven in several years and do not intend to anymore I figured there was no sense in having a driver's license anymore. My grandson moved up to Huntsville from S Alabama (Brewton) this last week. His Mom moved down there a bit over a year ago and he just missed his friends here in Huntsville. He is looking for a job and staying with a friend and his family. I was so glad so see him and his older brother when they stopped by when they got here. Yvonne is due back from her trip with Robin today, so I figure within the next couple of days I will have the little dog she has for me. Her name is Twiggy because she has long, skinny legs. She looks like she is part Rat Terrier and who knows what else!! I look forward to having her because she will be company.
It all sounds very good, @Joyce Mcgregor ...things progressing nicely. Bet you can't wait to get Twiggy...although my dog can be a pain in the butt sometimes I can't imagine my life without him. I have skinny legs too, lol...not so long though since I'm only 5'4". Wouldn't mind being called Twiggy though....loved the model in the 60's and wanted to look just like her.
Hello Joyce - here's to you and Twiggy And @Chrissy Cross - you do resemble Twiggy ! (the model, not the dog)
It has been a busy week, and I managed to get a lot done. Yvonne brought me some little mint plants and my friend Janice brought me some little marigolds, some cardinal vine babies and something called 7 steps. I got them all potted up and they are perky and looking like they will all do well. My love seat arrived and it fits just right into my small home. It is very comfortable, although I sit in the recliner Yvonne gave me most of the time. Twiggy is doing great. She is settling into her new home just fine. She likes to sit next to me in the space between my leg and the arm of the chair. I put a dust ruffle on my bed and sometimes she likesw to hide under the bed now. It is so funny because when I call her I can hear her little feet scrambling on the wood floor to get out from under.
